SYSTEM DESIGN NOTES
Integration, documentation & delivery
Platform & operating dataCapacity, thermal management & operating limits
Four container configurations support multi-container, multi-MWh projects. Active liquid cooling supports thermal stability and continuous-duty operation. Review capacity, power, voltage and physical requirements together with the selected PCS, controls and grid connection.
Electrical & control integrationPCS, controls & electrical interfaces
Low, Medium and High Voltage Interconnections
Interconnection engineering spans low, medium and high voltage points of connection. BX coordinates studies, protection and metering so the storage plant performs to the interconnection agreement as designed.
Solar PV Plants
Storage co-locates with utility scale PV to firm output, shift energy into evening peaks and manage curtailment. Shared infrastructure lowers the combined cost of energy.
Wind Farms
Paired with wind, storage smooths variable output and holds energy through low price periods. It adds dispatchability that strengthens offtake agreements and market participation.
SCADA Systems
Plant SCADA integration brings the battery into the same operational view as the rest of the site. Standard protocols connect controllers, meters and relays for full visibility.
EMS Platforms
The EMS runs the commercial strategy: arbitrage, capacity commitments, ancillary services and state of charge management inside warranty limits.
Generator and Backup Systems
Storage integrates with generation assets for black start capability and long duration resilience. The battery carries fast transients while generators cover extended events.
PCS Agnostic Integration
BX engineers around your preferred power conversion vendors. The system architecture stays open so PCS selection follows project economics rather than lock in.
Functions such as backup transfer, grid support, black start and islanded operation depend on the selected power conversion, protection and controls.
Safety & project documentationProtection, certification scope & local approvals
LFP batteries, battery management, liquid cooling and integrated aerosol suppression form part of the battery platform. Review fire protection provisions, installation requirements and the local approval process together.
Confirm model-specific certification scope and documentation against applicable UL, IEC, NFPA and regional requirements. Discuss IEC 62619, UL 9540 and NFPA 855 applicability for the selected configuration and installation.
Grid-forming functions—including black start, islanded operation, synthetic inertia and voltage support—must be specified with the selected PCS and controls. Engineering documentation and any performance guarantees are defined in the project agreement.
Installation, warranty & supportSite responsibilities, warranty & service
Confirm site access, electrical installation, commissioning responsibilities and operating requirements before procurement. The proposal should identify delivery scope, support, warranty terms and exclusions for the selected configuration.
Discuss standard product warranties, extended coverage options up to 15 years, spare parts and service packages. Availability and terms depend on the equipment, project scope and operating profile.
